Kate Reeder, Table Nutrition Dietitian

I’m Kate, the registered dietitian and recipe tester behind Table Nutrition, a food blog for simple, delicious recipes that nourish both body and soul.

I hold a Master of Clinical Nutrition degree from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Iowa State University.

Prior to starting Table Nutrition, I specialized in pediatric and family nutrition. My clients and patients¬† were always on the lookout for nourishing AND tasty, family-friendly recipes. I’d always loved to cook and had taken some culinary courses during my undergraduate studies, so I channeled my love for nutrition and cooking and created Table Nutrition.

My hope is that the recipes featured here on the blog are those that bring family and friends around a table to enjoy together. The connection that comes from a good meal shared with the people we love is really what it’s all about.

About my nutrition philosophy: I firmly believe that all foods (including dessert!) can fit into a healthy and balanced diet, so you’ll see a variety of all types of foods and ingredients on the blog.
